This not-for-profit breast cancer parody of the chart-topping single, “All About That Bass” called, “All About That Race” is written, produced and performed by Emily Eddey and Eric Levy.

Emily’s grandmother died of breast cancer and her mother is a survivor. Emily and Eric are walking in this year’s Race of the Cure in Balboa Park and want to encourage women to get their mammograms and inform the community of the free services available through Susan G. Komen San Diego.

There is also a high quality version available produced by  mixing/recording engineer and producer, Josh Gannet. Thank you, Josh!

It’s All About The Race – Lyrics

Because you know
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the Race
‘Bout the race

Yeah, it’s pretty clear, these are just 32s
But I get check up, check ups
Like I’m supposed to do
‘Cause I got these boom booms that all the boys chase
Help keep them healthy and come join this race
I see these young girls, who don’t know what to do
we need to educate them
cause if they only knew

If you got boobies, boobies, feel ’em up
and if you got that Family history
please consult your doc!
Yeah, my mama she said after 40 go every year
She says, “honey it’s worth it, you don’t have to live in fear.”
There’s support and there’s treatments and research for you for sure
So, lets raise awareness with Komen’s racefor The Cure

Because you know
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the race
‘Bout the race, no cancer
we’re all about the Race
‘Bout the race

We’re bringing boobies back
Go ahead and tell ya carcinoma that
Yo I’m not playing, let me see that rack
I’m here to tell ya
Every inch of you needs screening from the bottom to the top
Yeah, my mama she said after 40 go every year
She says, “honey it’s worth it, you don’t have to live in fear.”
There’s support and there’s treatments and research for you for sure

So, lets raise awareness with Komen’s Race for The Cure
