Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grant Opportunities
Susan G. Komen for the Cure remains committed to fulfilling our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever through empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. We are focused on reducing breast cancer incidence and mortality within the next decade with emphasis on finding solutions for disparities in breast cancer across populations. With funds raised by our San Diego Affiliate, community grants are made to support evidence-based strategies and promising practices to reduce disparities in breast cancer mortality. Our grants programs are designed to make systemic, lasting changes in our community.
The San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure awards community health grants to non-profit organizations that provide breast cancer education, screening and support services for the medically underserved in our community. Our grant programs seek to ensure that all people, regardless of race, income, geographic location, or insurance status have access to screening, and if diagnosed, quality for effective treatment and support services. The San Diego Affiliate supports this by funding an array of breast health services that create a seamless system of care for the medically underserved in San Diego County. All grants are reviewed and selected by an independent Review Panel. Our Affiliate establishes its funding priorities by conducting ongoing community needs assessments and publishing a Community Profile Report.
