Team USPS: Team Building with a Purpose
Team USPS has proudly participated in the Race for the Cure since 2008, has amassed 70 members and has no intention of stopping any time soon! According to Team Captain, Teresa Navarette, “Our team members are very dedicated to “the cause” and bringing awareness in the community as a USPS team. We all know or are related to someone who has experienced breast cancer or cancer in general. We desire to help in the effort to find a cure, to highlight loved ones we lost and/or those who have had it and are now survivors.”
Setting an ambitious goal of raising $1250 for this year’s race, Team USPS raises most of its money through recruitment. The Team creates flyers to distribute internally to the USPS workers and externally to neighboring businesses. The more the merrier! What a wonderful way to raise awareness for the fight against cancer and to help those currently suffering the disease. In fact, Team Captain Navarette reports the team’s favorite memory is, “The reunion feeling when we get together for the same purpose. There is so much energy within our team. We are very proud and excited to participate again this year.”
We certainly look forward to seeing YOU on the morning of November 3, and we thank USPS for such a devoted team! Your continued support is changing and saving lives.
