Because of medical research, the death rate for breast cancer in the US is 30 percent lower than it was 25 years ago and more than 3.1 million people are breast cancer survivors today.

But we believe that where a woman lives shouldn’t determine if she lives. That’s why, as a global leader in the fight against breast cancer, we have funded research in 48 states and 21 different countries.

We are the largest non-government funder of breast cancer research, funding research that span the breast cancer continuum from basic biology to treatment to survivorship.

Our research investments are guided by more than 60 leading scientists and advocates, including our Scientific Advisory Board and Komen Scholars.
