16 Feb Susan G. Komen® San Diego Hosts Sixth Breast Health Collaborative
On January 30th, Susan G. Komen San Diego hosted its sixth quarterly Breast Health Collaborative Workshop. This forum is for medical providers, case managers, patient navigators and community health educators to share and learn about breast health resources in San Diego County. Attendees get updates on local cancer programs such as Every Woman Counts, the Komen Diagnostics Fund and more. It is also an opportunity for breast health care professionals in our community to network with each other and share best practices. This collaborative ensures the continuum of care is working together, coordinated and integrated year-round.
Navigating the healthcare system can be very complicated and fragmented. Therefore, Komen San Diego convenes these quarterly forums so we can work together to identify best practices, build consensus, and provide a unified voice about the unmet needs of our community and direction of breast cancer policy and care.
Email Lizzie Wittig Director of Grants and Public Policy at Komen San Diego if you would like to get involved next quarter.
