Bobbie Gilbert, Chantal Breyfogle, Jacquellyn Martin and Krista Torquato joined Susan G. Komen San Diego’s Circle of Influence. The Circle of Influence is a unique opportunity for those who make a financial investment of $5,000 or more annually to make an immediate, direct and substantial impact on breast cancer San Diego.
Torquato is Senior Vice President and San Diego Market Manager at Bank of America. She’s been a top fundraiser for Komen San Diego Race for the Cure and, among her board and community involvements are San Diego Workforce Partnership and USS Midway Museum.
Bobbie is a retired Marriage and Family Therapist. Her board and community involvements currently include Planned Parenthood, ACLU, National Conflict Resolution Center, and ArtPower at UCSD.
Breyfogle is a Komen San Diego Board member and Chair of the Grants & Program Committee. She managing Sale Operations for the Western Region of Sprint. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Chantal leveraged her background in sales and marketing with her passion for food to launch San Diego’s first Dine Out for the Cure. The fourth Dine Out will take place on October 13, 2016.
Martin came to know about Komen San Diego through her involvement in the Komen 3-Days. She’s been involved with the Komen San Diego finance committee, the grants committee and Dine Out for the Cure. Jackie is a self-employed CPA and a member of the contemporary choir at Immaculata Church. She is a loyal Padres fan and a baseball fanatic in general.
The Circle of Influence is comprised of individuals who make a direct and substantial impact on conquering breast cancer by advancing the work and the advocacy of Susan G. Komen San Diego. Members influence funding of breast cancer programs and research in the San Diego region. To make informed decisions, members are made aware of funding options, given opportunities to vet those options, and participate in the evaluation and outcome of annual giving. There are opportunities throughout the year to join Komen San Diego programs and events. Members of the Circle of Influence may participate as much or as little as desired.
